  • Maintenance Technician

    The Maintenance Technician works with limited supervision and is responsible for performing a variety of duties including troubleshooting, repairing, providing preventive maintenance for and upgrading various CNC machines. Duties may include minor construction projects, light fabrication, including MIG and TIG welding, machining and other facilities-related needs. The Maintenance Technician must be able to work both independently and in a highly diversified team environment with multiple skill levels.

  • Product Designer

    The Product Designer designs and creates pocketknives and tools for everyday carrying and a variety of sporting purposes. The Product Designer works with sales and marketing to visualize new concepts and ideas, and communicates those ideas to the R&D and Production teams, guiding the product through the manufacturing process both in the US factory and overseas. In addition, the Product Designer works to enhance existing products, creates spec sheets, and assists the manufacturing team.

    The Technical Support and Set-Up CNC Machinist works with various Kai USA teams to increase quality and productivity of CNC processes, resolve machining processes, maintain and update setup sheets and tool lists, and train other team members as machine operators.

  • CNC Machinist

    The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating and setting up CNC machines to fabricate parts for knives. The CNC Machinist loads parts in machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools, runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains safe, organized and clean work environment.
